Who will win 2a championships

Post by 05percussion » Mon Nov 10, 2003 7:44 pm

thier seems to be a topic about almost all the divisions, but I didn't see anything about 2a. Who do you think is going to win. Personally I think Santa Margarita is a huge favorite for 2a, but I'll be rooting for Saugus.

Given their past history, and what I have seen of them, I am going to have to root for Santa Margarita. they really have come a long way. I hope that all of the bands do well tho. Good luck to all.

Well I think its going to be a close race with La Puente and Santa Margarita but I belive that La Puente will win it. They have been working hard this year and they have been doing good so far. So I will be Rooting for La Puente and the other bands. Good luck to all bands going to the championships.

So let's go Lp

I'd say Santa Margarita takes it with Saugus and LA right behind them. Granted I know who I'll be cheering for at awards, but SM is looking pretty strong right now. Savanna should help with that story though.

my personal opinion is that La Puente will win the 2a championships with Santa Margarita right behind then Saugus in third. Santa Margarita and Saugus have only gone to a few shows while La Puente has gone to more and even 2 shows on one day.
well anyways good luck to everyone who is performing you all will do very well.

Well La Puente may have gone to more shows, but Santa Margarita and Saugus are both undefeated going into this weekend (since they're both going to Savanna at least one of them will go into championship having been defeated, maybe both since other bands could win too like Alta Loma or anybody else) which is not something that La Puente can say about themselves. Do I think that La Puente is a more major competitor this year than last year, yes, do I think they will do well, yes, do I think they will finish first................don't know. I've already said how I think it will shake down, I think La Puente and Alta Loma have a chance at those top spots too, but historically Saugus and Los Angeles have been ahead of La puente, and this year saugus has beat la puente once (Wilson I believe), I'm not even sure where LA has been this year, but I wouldn't count them out of anything; they have a very very talented and competitive organization and they are not the least bit afraid of working hard to the end. Personally I think 2A is the biggest tossup in championships this year.

Historically Saugaus has been on top of LP. History being the past month I suppose. You only have to go back to 98 to see Lp competing in open. Back to 97 to see LP beating really good bandswith only 107 people. Check the scores its all there.

La Puente has had three scores in the 80's this week.
82.55 second overall right under Westlake(3A) 83.55( beating westlake in visual and GE)
80.75 Sweeps Beating 3a bands
80.30 Sweeps Beating 3a and 4a bands

SCSBOA scores.

you have to play the percentages..

LP to date (this year)
2 sweeps
5 1st places
2 seconds

we still have 5 tournaments left.

last year too :)

but I'm just trying to say, we haven't seen each other in a month. It could go either way and I wouldn't be surprised either way.
