I do not think that RB performing out of division made any difference because RBV had the same set of judges, and if the judges were to do what they were suppose to, it would be completly fair. We only beat Rb by a half of a point (or something like that) so it coulnd't have been that off. Of course as you have heard before we got creamed last year at Chino... but then again... i honeslty don't think competing out of division had anything to do with it. You can still get a good score any time of the day, just depends on how much effort you put into it.

What I partly meant as well with the out of division comment was the mentality of RB that night. Some of the students had Homecoming and I hope they weren't too focused on just getting the tournament over with in order to just go to the dance.

During the "special" awards, RBV had been announced as High Visual, and as teh DM's were walking back to their spots the announcer said "RBV you were not dismissed" meaning, RBV had won another caption (GE). The RBV section went crazy at that point (the fans in the stands).[/quote]

We know RBV's visual, GE, and final scores, so my math shows their music score as 407.

In class today, I learned that our music score was a 412. A huge increase from previous weeks, yet much to improve on :?

Hmm...2 yrs?

Post by CCTpt » Tue Nov 25, 2003 10:26 pm

To the writer from VMHS:
I hope to see you competing next year. But...2 years? Woa! I took The crimson cadets, and almost every other band WAY longer to get up there. I am sure you guys will suceed very greatly some day, but remember that this stuff doesn't happen in a day you know. It took us a lot to build what we have built. remember to be humble and patient. It will take time to build a name, as it has for us. Please remember it is not as easy as you make it seem. I know your band will be great. just remember what i have told you. lots of luck!!!
