Does make me think now where Ayala would have placed, but also missing from the equation was Tarpon Springs.

Possibly behind Flower Mound?

The same thought applies to how Claudia Taylor Johnson and Hebron would have done had they been at Grand Nationals. They both beat Avon at the San Antonio Super Region.

I'll try to write up a review this week when I have time. I definitely think the best band won, and I called the Top 3 in order.

My opinion: Ayala probably would have made Finals, but I'm not sure they would have topped Union or Blue Springs. 11th would be my estimate.

Tarpon Springs would have been right there with the two Flower Mound bands in 4th-6th.

CTJ and Hebron are the biggest question marks. Man, would that they could have attended. What a battle that would have been at the top.

In regard to Hebron, I do not think most people know that Hebron, Flower Mound, and Marcus along with Lewisville are all part of the Same School District in the Metroplex. Whoever is working with their Fine Arts, they are developing strong music programs, and that is not just marching band, but outstanding Concert Performers.

Look forward to hearing your review. I was at the super regional in San Antonio the other week and I was blown away by the caliber of bands there - Hebron and CTJ were in your face. There seems to be a lot of districts where there are multiple strong music programs - CTJ/Reagan/Churchill or Leander/Vandegrift/Vista Ridge/Cedar Park.
