Using Multiple Drum Majors

Post by TBDecker » Fri Apr 21, 2017 7:54 am

Just out of curiosity, how to different directors utilize multiple drum majors during parades? We have always just used our head drum majors but I would like to use my assistant drum majors more during community parades.

We have three drum majors. They march in the front together in a triangle shape. Only the head drum major salutes judges, dignitaries, etc. The other two stop beating time, but don't do the actual salute.

A great way to incorporate your assistant drum majors is by allowing them to do a joint routine together something easy that looks good. All three of them should salute whoever is present.
