We don't do band reviews, but I'm curious... How can a band be Class AA at one event, and Class A at another (or Class A and then Class B)? I thought it was based on the parade music chosen.

It's based on their score from the previous year at the band review of the same name as the line-up posted. If the band in question did not attend that band review, I believe they consider the overall placement from scores at other band reviews/parades adjudicated by the SCSBOA.

There has been a small change for this event. The first band (Moore MS) will step off at 9:00 AM instead of 9:30 AM. The lineup times have been adjusted.

Each Band review sets its own classifications - usually depending on the number of entries - so one week there might be 20 bands divided up into 3 classifications of "A" "AA" and "AAA" - or maybe that review might call the classes by colors - "Red" Blue""Gold"

In So. Cal - SCSBOA only has standard classes for Field Competition based on the number of musicians in the band -

from Placentia BR: Bryan Millares, Stauffer sounded incredible! Great marching too.

Just a few comments...

I wasn't at the band review, but I watched a few videos...

Riverside King: Amazing I.D. Unit! Oh my gosh. I really loved the footwork, attention to detail, and the saber girl who got to a place of salute and then did some mega-marching, toes up, in time, and everything, to re-join the letter-bearers. Bravo!

Diamond Bar: I don't have much to say except I love Voice of the Guns, and they pulled it off very well.

Arcadia: Robo-Drum-Major! Wow, this drum major was near FLAWLESS. Excellent work!
