We yell 'hit' at Murrieta. Its pretty nifty that other schools say like 'pride' or 'LHS' or something. But we've used hit since before I was a freshman. It sounds very uniform, short and to the point. And its always nice to hear the crowd react when its done well. :D

we say one

but i have always like arcadia's response, it's different and its LOUD, probably the fact that they have a 400 member band helps, but it still sounds really cool.

At Valencia is Vikings ten hut! and we all yell Vi-kings! and its really kool during night practice cuz it echos around in the hills its pretty kool. We arent called to attention at any point during a performance, so i dont know what happens w/ our drum majors score. Does it go down?

I don't think arcadia marches 400 on the street, but their response is still pretty loud.
Montebello yells one two

No reply after "Band Ten Hut" this year.

People are starting to ignore the command, though... :?

we usually march from around 100 at the beginning to around 140 or 150 at our last parade for just band
our numbers usually go up as more people make it into the parade band tryouts

but...
for arcadia festival, we r going to march everyone...
so it will be over 400 if we include the guard so it'll be a lot of ppl/ranks :D
we mite expand the number of files too so yea

band-hut-ten-hut!!!

PA-CHEE !!! thats wat we say, but, any kind of response is apropriate, consifering its still a form of alerting your drum major that the ensemble is ready to perfrom.

We're lucky enough to have a one-syallable school name so the drum major says "De-tail...A-ten-Hut!" and the band and guard respond "TROY!"

Hehe, it's fun to scare NJROTC when they're practicing near us.

in my past two years in band we have had : "Band Atten-Hut", second our drum major would blow two whistles and the second would mean youre where youre supposed to be, the first whistle was a warning, and now third replaced the whistles with:" Band Ten-Hut!" quite weird hows its changed in such short times and occasionally the drum major yells "SET" and that calls them at attention too
