Description:
Bishop Amat Memorial High School is an archdiocesan co-educational Catholic high school serving approximately 1,400 students residing in the San Gabriel Valley, Whittier, and north Orange County area. We are currently searching for a fulltime band director/music instructor for the 2016-2017 school year. The ideal candidate is an energetic, passionate musician/educator capable of leading and promoting the Lancer Marching Band / Color Guard in addition to other instrumental programs such as wind ensemble, drum line, jazz band and Junior Lancer band. Specific responsibilities include direction of band practices, performances and competitions as well as supporting the school's athletic program through participation at all football games (home and away) and home basketball games (boys and girls).
Requirements:
Qualifications include: Band directing experience; Bachelor's degree (required) in music, music education or similar course of study; Knowledge of / experience with Catholic secondary school educational programs preferred.
