Allen, TX is playing Seitz's "March Grandioso"? This is a good decision. I can't think of a march better suited to a 650-member ensemble.

Thanks Bryan.

I really look forward to attending this event as well as Bandfest each year. I have met some great people and it's always an enjoyable experience.

As for the bands, of course I liked them all. Too bad the Pedro Molina Latin Band could not make it. As some of you may or may not know, they were denied visas so they were forced to cancel their trip to Pasadena. I think one of the highlights was when the Mexican marching band, Aguilas Doradas MB, payed homage to the Pedro Molina Latin Band by carrying the Guatemalan Flag during their Pass & Review Bandfest performance.

Other bands I liked a lot were the Allen Eagle Escadrille. The YT videos don't do them justice. They're huge! It was quite the sight. I also enjoyed the Albany State University Marching Rams Show Band. William Mason High School did an outstanding bandfest performance. No wonder they're a top contender at BOA year after year. The Green Band Association representative this year (Toho HS Green Band) was very nice to see, they played really well and they're always a crowd favorite. Both the PCC Honor Band & LAUSD Honor Band put on great performances, as usual.

The one band that really stood out for me at Bandfest and was my favorite was the Franklin Regional HS Panther Band. Talk about "entertainment value". This band definitely had it. For the parade, my favorite performance (excluding the USMC West Coast Composite Band) was from the Toho High School Green Band.
