what do you use to transmit dr.beat wirelessly to pa speaker

So i know some groups have some type of transmitter to transmit wirelessly dr.beat to whatever they use as a loud speaker. As I look online the belt pack that could be used costs over $200. I have also looked into the possibility of using a bluetooth receiver which would only work up to 100ft which costs $80. That would only maybe work during the indoor seasons and not so well during marching band season. The school I word with has a transmitter but when i tried to connect it to a dr. beat it would only work at short ranges and would make fart noises after using it for so long. I was wondering if there is something that schools use to transmit a dr beat wirelessly for the length of sideline to sideline of a football field that is under $80. To me I feel like something like that could be fairly cheap since there are walkie talkies that transmit up to a mile for like $20
