New NCBA Field Scoring

What the actual is going on in the NCBA this year? Looking at those field recaps make my head hurt. I can find no breakdown on the NCBA site as to how the field score is calculated, but it looks like they switched to a system where auxiliary and percussion are added into the final score?

This is as best I can figure...

F1 & F2 = two music judges, averaged. 350? points possible.
F3 & F4 = two effect judges, averaged. 250? points possible.
F5 & F6 = two visual judges, averaged. 200? points possible.
P9 & P10 = two auxiliary judges, averaged. 100 points possible.
Per1 & Per2 = two percussion judges, averaged. 100 points possible. (although at the McQueen show they divided by 10 again and made it a ten point caption?!)

Anyone in the NCBA able to shed light on this?

Yeah, I PM'd Jeff about that recap when I saw it a couple days ago. I also could not find an explanation on their website. Jeff is trying to find out what the scoop is...

But apparently the McQueen recap says that the scores were based on a possible 910 points instead of 1000 points. But who knows, maybe that what they want?

I think the McQueen thing was a mistake. I'm pretty sure the 350/250/200/100/100 breakdown I postulated is correct.

I did receive confirmation that this year is a trial run for the new scoring, so there will be bumps in the road. We'll see at the end of the season whether the NCBA keeps this going forward.
