I have just one question...WHY? What would having your group on the internet cause? I really don't understand...I thought having an archive of performances by high school bands was a good thing educationally......no?

Most, but not all. Same with Fillmore, King, Goldman, K. Alford, etc.

I imagine that the edited versions such as Fennel and Gore remain protected by these laws. Most of the "older" schools probably have original copyrights of Sousa, King and Alford which are probably out of print and in the public domain so that wouldn't be such an issue.

I am almost certain that the most current copy of Bullets and Bayonets that Rancho Bernardo used is Fennel's edition which is still protected by copyright.
