Re: 2013 UIL A &AA Marching Champions
Was happy to see that a very good and old friend of mine, Larry Woods, was honored at the UIL 4A contest the other night.
Larry was my HS drum major, and went on to major in music at CSULB. After graduating he returned to his native Texas where he was a band director of a 2A and 3A high school. He later was an Ass't at one of the 4A schools in the Austin area. He left "the biz" to become a computer programmer at UT Austin, but has continued to be involved in UIL, and the Austin Symphonic Band.
