Great Lineup! This year I'll get to be there - on the second floor of a convalescent home in full view of the bands just after they exit the competition area.

Just want to remind the bands and their directors that many of the residents in that facility love to hear you perform but what they usually hear is a bit of your drum cadence. I encourage you to bring some joy to these very appreciative folks. There is no rule or penalty for continuing to play after you leave the competition area so long as it doesn't interfere with the band following you (as can happen with with a LOUD drum cadence). Play for the joy you're giving these seniors. The building will be on your right. I'll be happy to give a shout out to those bands that can give this small gift to these to these always appreciative viewers who have made the effort to drag out chairs or maneuver their wheelchairs out to the balcony to enjoy the results of all your hard work. How about giving them a sample of your best they won't ever forget. Don't be a party pooper. Just a thought.
