The Poway Invitational Field Tournament Oct 19, 2013

On behalf of Mike Cook and the Poway High School Music Boosters, I would like to invite you to the 21st Annual Poway Invitational Field Tournament (PIFT) on October 19th, 2013. Last year, we had a very successful tournament commemorating our 20th Anniversary year! We are excited for our 21st annual tournament and plan to make this year’s tournament one to remember. We have already arranged for the San Diego State Marching Aztecs to join us again for performances after both the afternoon and evening sessions.

Please complete and mail these forms and the check for the entry fee by Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 or before, to reserve a place for this year's tournament.

For bands from outside of San Diego County, we have a relationship with the Rancho Bernardo Marriott and San Diego hotels near major attractions. They are willing to work with your group to provide discounted rates for overnight stays. Group rates are also available for Sea World, the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park . If you are interested in these options, please contact me and I will forward you the relevant information.

I wanted to take a moment to highlight a wonderful student experience that will be available again this year at the Poway Invitational Field Tournament. The San Diego State Marching Aztecs will again take the field before both the afternoon and evening award ceremonies. In years past they have always taken a moment during their exhibition to perform directly for the students. Last year's tournament attracted 20 competing bands. We would love to host your band at this year’s event and encourage your band to join us this year.
