Are these samples synthesized or actual live recordings?

They are formatted for use with notation programs like Sibelius and Finale. Instead of using the general midi sounds on your computer, the score uses these instruments to play back your scores. They play back through a sampler called Kontakt which integrates with Sibelius or Finale.

Yup, i get that part. I use kontakt all the time. What i want to know... Did you record real instruments (like Virtual Drum Line) to create the samples?

Or is just computers making the sounds in the first place, you tweaked the output, then made it into samples?
