This looks like it's going to be an awesome event. Does anyone know the specific route the bands take from the review to the parade route? Any particularly good viewpoints?

Tips are much appreciated. Thank you!

Based on the videos, yeah, Arcadia and King were definitely head and shoulders above everyone else. But I wouldn't be surprised if Diamond Bar closes the gap between now and Arcadia in November. DB has a good sound quality, just a lot of ensemble dirt they need to clean up.

Is Arcadia marching a slightly bigger block this year? I counted over 150 musicians.

I was at the competition yesterday (I'm not a music educator, just a spectator). I thought both Diamond Bar and El Dorado did very well- with El Dorado having a slight edge in musical performance. I think they will be great this year. Arcadia sounded so powerful and the low brass sound (you can hear the rumble in the video) was total ear candy. They were big and loud, I imagine they just have to work on cleaning here and there. Their performance did reminded me of the videos of bands "back in the day". I thought RK delivered a consistent performance, very clean, very tight - it was excellent from start to finish. It's going to be interesting to see how the bands improve through the season!
