Few observations...

1. Much smaller competition this year...almost like in the late 90s/early 2000s when it "looked" like TOB was not doing so well.

2. Where are more of the local groups?
No Leigh, Los Altos, Los Gatos, American...MONTA VISTA?
The street competition has taken a hit too...no Fairfield, Benicia, etc.

2. Saratoga HS in street competition?! And TWICE this fall? :yeah:
I presume that the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade might have something to do with it. Can anyone confirm this?
Once a drum major, always a drum major.

American could not attend Cupertino TOB because it is the 40th anniversary Of American High and there is some event that the Principal wanted us to attend. Then Homecoming is that night as well and you know what happens when the band doesn't go to Homecoming. So we had to do Feste Del Mar instead. We really would rather do Cupertino but what can you do when the Principal asks you to be there?

Franklin hosting a new competition on the same day could have something to do with it, as well. Also, the "street" is less than ideal for a competition considering it's half of a busy street. The acoustics aren't great either, with the sound of cars going by constantly.
But, looking forward to going this weekend!

Monta Vista is noncompetitive this season after having one director split time between two campuses (Cupertino the other campus).
