I think these are both supposed to be on 10/13/2012. I notice no shows for 10/13 are listed on the site, and WBA moved off the first Saturday in October a year or two ago.

Also, per the WBA website, the application close date for both shows is 9/14, or a month prior to 10/13.

Now I'm confused! The Marching Band Open Series (MBOS) website specifically states that Open Series #1 occurring on 10/13/12 will be held at Vista Murrieta H.S.

It wasn't a request, just a guess. I don't have any inside information. I just find it strange that the WBA circuit would take an entire week off. But, if the scheduling dictates it...

WE ARE thrilled to be able to host another WBA show. This will be our second year as a "WBA - MEMBER." WE would love to see many bands/GUARDS attend the DUBLIN HS INVITATIONAL on October 20th!! As well as any WBA sponsored event. Was really pleased with what my band/guard experienced as "first-time-members" LAST YEAR!!

On a personal note...this is my 23rd year teaching high school -- first year as WBA MEMBER -- OUTSTANDING!! An old dog can learn! CHECK OUT WBA!! No circuit is perfect; yet, after one year (can not judge an association after one year), I am returning.

At this point the weekend of October 13th is open and are looking for a host in the area for that date. The Vista Murrieta WBA show is on the 6th.

I hope this is just a partial schedule? In past years the WBA has sanctioned 18 or 19 shows each year. This schedule has only 13 shows. Or are times that bad that shows have been cancelled?

It's definitely a partial schedule - should be updated by beginning of June!
