This will be a slam dunk for the two CA Bands. They will go 1 & 2 in both the Field and Parade. The other Bands entered are not of championship quality at all. Chino NO. 1 on the field, & King No.1 on the street. These two Bands are far ahead of a really week selection of Bands this year.

Sandra Day O'Connor H.S. from Helotes, TX might push Chino on the field a little. But I agree: Chino is the field favorite, and King and Chino should be way out in front on the parade.

I agree also. King will take street while Chino will take field.

The O'Connor Band participating this year is from Phoenix, AZ. The Band from TX with the same name would probably be a strong second place in field behind Chino. Their is a big difference in size and strength of competition.

Thank you for clarifying. The Fiestabands site isn't exactly detailed.

I would like to give a shout out congrats to both Chino and Riverside King for making it a California sweep for the Fiesta Bowl field and parade. Both groups set records. Chino being the only group in the 34 year history to win the National Band Championship 3 straight times and for Riverside King in winning the Fiesta Bowl Parade 4 straight apperences. California is doing something right with both these great groups continuing there streaks. Again congrats and Happy New Year to everyone. 8-)

Congrats to both Chino and Riverside King. You both make me so proud! Spectacular SoCal representatives at this ever-more-popular annual national marching band competition. Even more impressive since these judges are not from SCSBOA or even from Southern California. Those scores are awesome!

Addendum - Whoa! Didn't notice THAT minute detail the first read-through! Nice!!

From someone who has spent time with both of these groups, I just want to say I was proud to be from Southern California. These groups represented themselves and all of us here in So Cal extremely well. Congrats on sharing the National Titles King and Chino!!!
