as much as people are congratulating Benicia (which is well deserved) its also a big deal that Merced High, a band that only 3 years ago was on the brink of collapsing, a band that 3 years ago only had around 30 people, TIED with Benicia for overall music sweepstakes. so congrats to BOTH..... :yeah:

That's very true. As a band alumni I didn't hear of Merced until after I graduated. Seeing them on the street and videos really impresses me that they had it rough just years ago and are now a powerhouse. Congrats to both schools for sweeps and congrats to everyone who participated! It always makes an alumni proud knowing there are students who still participate in the performing arts and keep the heart of American music alive :)
