Your assumption is that 4A is of lesser quality than 5A and 6A. SCSBOA classifies bands by SIZE not level.

A 1A band can win just as easily as a 6A band.

At Rowland last night, music quality was mid-November while marching was very mid-October. With a couple of exceptions, the performances were solid and lacked glaring holes/mistakes. Lots of cleanup needed, but good first/second effort for the season.

The performances of South Hills, Arcadia, Azusa, Los Osos, and West were very good. South Hills showed particular discipline and execution given their apparent lack of an on-field conductor (student or adult).

A video of South Hills' performance is circulating facebook, don't know if it's public or not.

San Marcos (6A) from San Marcos in San Diego County is the same. No conductor.

Anyone have the AM scores at least? There's still no recap on the SCSBOA site.
