Can anyone decode the SCSBOA March Publisher Abbreviations

Hello all,
My director has asked me to check out if the version of a particular march we are playing is on SCSBOA's Approved HS Marches List. The March title is included, but I fail to understand how to identify the publisher it requires. The Publisher abbreviation is TP/KAL. Who is the publisher?

If anyone knows any of the other abbreviations, i'm sure it would be helpful because I could not find them on SCSBOA's website.

Thanks!

Musically Yours,

"TP" is Theodore Presser
"KAL" is Kalmus

So that march from either of those publishers qualifies.

As for the rest, just refer to this handy reference page...

The "Key to the Publishers Abbreviations" is listed on the inside back cover of the 2011-2012 SCSBOA Directory.

The listing of the publishers on the SCSBOA Parade March List is intended as a "guide to help" band directors locate the marches for purchase.

Many of the old music publishers have changed names, out of business, or have been sold to a new publisher. Over the years, many of the marches on the list have been published by more than one publisher. The name of the publisher has nothing to do with being approved for competition.

What matters is:

the title of the march,

the composer of the march, and

if any, the approved arranger of the march.

The list of approved arrangers for all marches is on page 147 of the 2011-2012 SCSBOA Directory.

BTW... does any one here have a copy of this year's list they can send me? I'd like to keep the database in our march library up to date. Thanks!

Attached are the 2010 HS and MS march lists (most current available from SCSBOA Website) and the list of Publisher Abbreviations in PDF format.
