This was one heck of a band review and I enjoyed every minute of it. Many groups impressed me. I'm glad I finally got to see Mr. Stratton's Las Plumas/Oroville HS perform The Basilisk in person! It's one thing seeing the videos; seeing the marching bands live is very different.

It is really hard to take good video at Fairfield, again because of the street's orientation to the sun. I videoed there last year from the opposite side of the street and had shadows in my videos.

If you're referring to Vanden HS, I personally think they did great! In fact, the whole group altogether did great

Im biased as their instructor i guess. Lots of mistakes at places where we've never had mistakes before. They had a serious case of the jitters which im sure is why. Overall the show was fine though.

Same here for my guard. I almost pulled them out of the performance altogether for fighting with each other before warm-ups. I think that really effected their performance...
