Well, I haven't dug up my minutes yet, but I remember a discusion about school size. Then when folks at home heard you were the champ by your school size they could relate it to sports. They are by school size.

I am on the fence about this issue. For starters I am really glad to have a champs event for the fall. Lets get this one done and tweak it for next year. Maybe if we get it on the calendar and pick a site earlier we will get more groups. I believe once it's established as what we do it will have better attendance.

i agree. now that people know there is a champs before they're doing their calendars for next year, there should be more bands attending. =]

They did really take a long time in deciding the location which is most likely why most groups did not attend. The thing about it being right before thanksgiving does hold true, but if there were no Championships we would have had Fairfield TOC next week instead of last night.
I know for parade it will be a long shot by far, esp when we are in the largest group... Armijo and Foothill and likely going to be the top spots. But, we still have field show I suppose.

I don't know if we'll have more participation next year because some programs like to end their year in early November. (which is understandable) So it depends if the director wants to extend their marching season.

So, here goes Champs... well, best of luck to everyone. We'll be doing our best!

The vids from TOC look good, by the way. Those that are out. I think they were taken by a Fairfield parent.
